Tel Aviv Holidays

“Tel Aviv is one of the world’s most vibrant cities, famous for its relaxed atmosphere, and spectacular beaches”

Tel Aviv has a rich and interesting history. Tel Aviv tells the story of Israel and its birth, so despite its cosmopolitan appeal, the city also has a fascinating past. When Tel Aviv was established, it was the first all-Jewish city in modern times and was founded by just 60 families. Today, Tel Aviv is one of the world’s most vibrant cities, famous for its relaxed atmosphere, and spectacular beaches. Tel Aviv’s 13 beaches can be found along a stretch of the Mediterranean coast. Any of them could be perfect for relaxing on as you spend a day by the sea basking in the sunshine. However, Tel Aviv has so much more to offer than beautiful beaches. Tel Aviv is also renowned for being a foodie’s paradise full of trendy restaurants and hipster cafes, whilst the nightlife can be lively and loud. Tel Aviv has long been a popular destination for LGBT holidays. Tel Aviv Pride is one of the biggest week-long LGBT parties in the world.

Day 1

Begin your holiday in Tel Aviv in the best way possible by heading to the beach. Spend the day at Bograshov Beach. This beautiful white sandy beach has a shallow entry into the water, making it perfect for both adults and children. Located nearby on the Tel Aviv promenade, is a range of restaurants and bars, meaning you can indulge in delicious food, in between stints spent lounging on the beach. If you happen to be in Tel Aviv during Tel Aviv Pride, it’s quite common for the pride parade to pass the beach as it moves towards Ben Yehuda, the Herbert Samuel Promenade, and Charles Clore Park.

In the evening, return back to the Brown TLV Hotel and freshen up in your elegantly appointed room. For dinner, we recommend Bicicletta on Nahalat Binyamin Street. It’s just two minutes away from the hotel. Popular with Tel Aviv’s young crowd, this trendy courtyard hidden behind an old building is the perfect place to spend an evening, and the upstairs bar area plays fantastic jazz music to add to the ambiance. This dining venue is truly one of Tel Aviv’s hidden gems. 100% authentic, this tapas style sharing restaurant has a range of popular favourites including figs & cambozola bruschetta with honey and basil, zucchini stuffed with tulum, zaatar and tomatoes, and seared calamari with freekeh and yoghurt.

Day 2

After a delicious breakfast at one of the cafes in the neighbourhood, spend your second day in Tel Aviv exploring the city. Visit the famous Carmel Market bursting with vibrant stalls, and vendors selling a range of fragrant spices, and delicious fruit. Then head down Allenby Street to the Great Synagogue, followed by a shopping trip at the HaTachana – an old rail station complex. Every Saturday, you can enjoy free circus performances in the Centre Stage at the Station. In the afternoon return to the Brown TLV Hotel. Spend the afternoon relaxing on the sundeck, swimming in the pool, and working on your tan. Let all your cares float away as you fully unwind.

At night head to Slava Vida for dinner. The restaurant menu consists of a range of dishes, inspired by the style and delights of Chef Yuval Pachler. As a result, every dish that comes out to the table is full of passion. The restaurant emphasises the use of the finest ingredients to serve fresh and mouth-watering dishes. Did we mention the views? With amazing views overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, a dining experience at Slava Vida can be an evening to remember for all the right reasons.

Day 3

Enjoy a lovely late breakfast at one of the four cafes and then return to the hotel for a relaxing spa treatment. The extensive spa menu includes Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone and reflexology massages. The spa menu also includes couples packages such as the Brown Classic and Brown Extra should a friend, relative, or partner wish to join you.

Feeling zen, and at one, take a leisurely stroll to Alma Beach. Approximately 10 minutes away from the hotel, Alma beach is found between neighbouring Jaffa and the Dolphinarium. Alma Beach is the southernmost beach in Tel Aviv, and is a complete contrast to Frishman Beach or Bograshov Beach, further north. With a more relaxed atmosphere, the beach does not have lifeguards, cafes or sunbeds, but its charming beauty is indisputable nonetheless.

Enjoy an early night tonight, but before then enjoy a delicious seafood dinner at Manta Ray. Located on the beachfront, Manta Ray specialises in creative Middle Eastern cuisine.
