Fairmont Chateau Whistler
The slope-side Fairmont Chateau Whistler delivers an ideal setting for families, couples and groups. Despite an active summer programme of activities, it’s the winter activities that make this hotel particularly popular amongst luxury travellers. Nestled at the base of Blackcomb Mountain, the Fairmont Chateau Whistler enjoys one of the best positions in the resort. The main village is just a ten-minute walk away, but you’ll find plenty around the hotel itself in the upper village.
All 528-rooms at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler are tastefully designed. All of them have either spectacular mountain views or village views to blend with the natural alpine setting. Many of the rooms can accommodate a family of four, and interconnecting options are also available. Fairmont Rooms overlook the upper village or woodland while Deluxe Valleyview Rooms and Deluxe Slopeside Rooms have views of the Whistler valley or the slopes of Blackcomb Mountain respectively. Fairmont Gold rooms have access to the exclusive Executive Lounge with complimentary breakfast, evening cocktails and canapés and also private check-in. All rooms feature the usual amenities that you would expect in a luxury hotel, as well as a few unique luxurious extras such as a television with video check-out, an ‘On-Command’ system which enables guests to watch newly released movies, duck down-filled duvets and thick cotton bathrobes. For your added comfort, items available upon request include microwaves, shower chairs and bathtub handrails, play-pens and high chairs, dog beds and water dishes.

For alpine cuisine during the winter look no further than The Chalet. From roasted pork knuckle and Weiner schnitzel to molten hot two cheese fondues, The Chalet is as authentic as it is charming. During the summer season, from May through to September The Clubhouse is open all day. Children aged five and under eat free off the children’s menu while kids aged six to 11 eat for half price off the regular menu in The Wildflower restaurant and The Chalet.
