L’Apogée Courchevel – an Oetker Collection Hotel
Relax in style on Courchevel 1850’s prettiest peak by booking a stay at L’Apogée Courchevel. This five-star ski-in/ski-out resort in Jardin Alpin opens onto the world’s finest slopes. Since opening in 2013 this hotel has been one of the most popular in the area and it’s clear to see why.
The 53 rooms and suites at L’Apogée have been designed by Parisian designers India Mahdavi and Joseph Dirand. Each room and suite is extremely modern, contemporary, and has been finished with high levels of attention to detail. Every piece of furniture has been tailor-made to convey the vision of this talented duo. With fur throws on the beds, soft wool plaid underfoot and fine leather furnishings, the warm rooms and suites are a cosy sanctuary to return to after a busy day spent skiing. The 20 rooms fall into one of two categories; Deluxe rooms are up to 30m² and Prestige rooms up to 40m². On the other hand, the 33 suites are styled as mini chalets. Each one is spacious, and could be perfect for a group or small family. The majority of the marble bathrooms across the hotel boast double windows onto the room and a mountain view from the bath. Most rooms and suites have private balconies overlooking the pristine slopes and Alpine forest.
The 2 chalets at L’Apogée have also been designed by Mahdavi and Dirand. They are located adjacent to the hotel. Each chalet has a private entrance, private ski-in/ski-out access, a spa and a home cinema. Boasting five-ensuite bedrooms across 547m², these spacious decadent chalets are perfect for a special occasion or celebration. Both of the chalets are fully staffed with a butler, maids and a personal chef.
Dining at L’Apogée is a one of a kind experience – unlike any ski resort you may have ever experienced before. As well as L’Apogée’s signature restaurant called Le Comptoir de L’Apogée, their newest offering is Koori. Koori is a sushi restaurant that offers the very best in French Japanese cuisine. Half board hotel guests are allocated an allowance per day which can be used in the bar (for lunch) or either restaurant (for dinner) for food only. This level of flexibility is one of the many reasons why L’Apogée is ideal for families. Guests in the private chalets can choose whether to have a chef cook for them in-house or whether to use the restaurants in the hotel.
When the time comes to be active, your skis will be ready and waiting for you on the piste, boots perfectly warmed – your personal ski butler will already be two steps ahead of you. Upon your return, the beautiful L’Apogée Spa is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The spa features an indoor pool, various saunas, hammam, Bania lounge suite, beauty salon, hairdresser and a fitness centre. There are also 5 treatment rooms offering a selection of luxurious spa and massage treatments, including a duo cabin for couples’ treatments.
