Day 1

If you’re travelling with children they won’t be able to contain their excitement. This is their first day on the holiday of a lifetime in Orlando! They’ll meet Belle, Daffy Duck, Minions, Shrek, Transformers and more. Enjoy a delicious breakfast at The Point Hotel & Suites, before taking the hotel shuttle bus to Epcot. Epcot is one of four theme parks in Disney World Florida, and once you arrive you’ll immediately be taken aback by the size of the Epcot mascot Spaceship Earth which resembles a huge golf ball. What makes the Epcot theme park unique is that it was created to be be a vision of the future by Walt Disney. Epcot stands for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow.

Children will undoubtedly enjoy all of the rides on offer at Epcot. There’s the Spaceship Earth ride, Test Track, and Turtle Talk with Crush where kids can interact with Crush from Finding Nemo in a screen-based attraction that mimics a water tank. When visiting Epcot it will be impossible to miss the World Showcase. Centered around a tranquil lagoon, there are eleven countries, represented including Mexico, China, and Italy. Young children, and adults who are young at heart will enjoy meeting some of Disney’s most beloved princesses from around the world as they travel to France to meet Belle, China to greet Mulan, and Germany to stop for a photo with Snow White! The World Showcase is also where some of the best dining and drinking outlets can be found at Epcot. With a range of international delicacies available, enjoy sushi, freshly made crêpes, and delicious Moroccan tagines. If you’re travelling in the late summer or autumn, you’ll also have the chance to explore the ever popular Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. It’s a foodies paradise.

At the park the hours can fly by in no time at all, and before you know it, it will be dark. Head back to The Point and enjoy a late night dip in the pool, before dinner at an all American diner. There are a range of restaurants near The Point, but for your first night head to either IHOP or Denny’s. Both are institutions in America and guests have been dining at each since the 1950s. Sit back, relax and enjoy classic American comfort food as you plan tomorrow’s activities.

Day 2

On day 2 discover the spectacular Universal Orlando Resort. With three theme parks plus incredible dining and entertainment, you’ll never want to leave. You’ll have your pick of the rides at Universal. From the Jurassic Park River Adventure water ride, to the Simpsons Ride, to Skull Island: Reign of Kong, there will be a ride to suit children of all ages and adults. However, one thing that everyone will look forward to is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Spread across Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is bursting with groundbreaking thrills and magical fun. Meander through Diagon Alley at Universal Studios and then ride the Escape from Gringotts roller coaster around Gringotts Bank. Visit Hogsmeade at Islands of Adventure where you can dine at the Three Broomsticks, and shop for sweets at Honeydukes. Travel between both lands with an amazing journey aboard the Hogwarts Express. For Harry Potter fans, we recommended spending a full day enjoying all of the rides, attractions, and themed restaurants. Cool off in the heat, with a delicious refreshing butterbeer. This will undoubtedly be at the top of any Harry Potter fans bucket list when visiting Universal. Parents – rest assured! This drink is alcohol free.

Return to the hotel, before a delicious dinner at Maggiano’s Italian Restaurant. Specialising in homemade Italian food, just like Nonna used to make, expect delicious authentic Italian delights. How does Fettuccine Alfredo, Orecchiette Chicken Pesto, and Shrimp Fra Diavolo sound? With something for all the family, and a kid’s menu there’s something for even the fussiest of eaters!

Day 3

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel to fuel you for the shopping trip of the year. New York may be the city where you can shop ‘till you drop, but Orlando can certainly give the big apple a run for its money. Several malls are within a few kilometres of The Point including the open air Florida Mall, Orlando Mall, and Orlando International Premium Outlets. We recommend the Orlando International Premium Outlets for your first stop. The Point Hotel & Suites shuttle bus goes straight to this mall which makes it incredibly convenient to get to. With amazing deals on brands like Calvin Klein, Coach, Steve Madden and Polo Ralph Lauren, you’ll be bound to find a bargain or two!

After a full day of shopping spend the rest of the afternoon enjoying the facilities at the hotel. Relax in the refreshing pool where the whole family will enjoy the tropical atmosphere as you swim, sunbathe and enjoy the warm weather.

For dinner, with a dash of culinary theatre we recommend Kobe Japanese Steakhouse. As Florida’s premier Japanese steakhouse, Kobe has been delighting diners since 1984 with a fun and unique Teppanyaki dining experience.

On day 3 we recommend an early night as tomorrow you’ll be spending the day at Magic Kingdom Park!
