24 Hours in Dubai
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Start your day the right way with a delicious breakfast at Sarabeth’s Restaurant and Bakery. With an illustrious breakfast menu ranging from the incredibly healthy “morning crunch” consisting of Sarabeth’s granola, and fresh fruit, to a delicious “red omelette”, to zesty lemon and ricotta pancakes, you can indulge in a delicious wholesome breakfast before exploring the sites.
After breakfast head straight to Dubai Mall. Whilst shopping may not be at the top of your list, the Dubai Mall is one of Dubai’s most impressive attractions. Spacious, glamourous, and ginormous, take a stroll around some of the designer boutiques dotted around the Mall and located within the mall’s exclusive Fashion Avenue. Before you leave, make sure you stop to see the aquarium located on the ground floor. Then head out to see the Burj Khalifa. Take several photos of the Burj Khalifa from various angles as you try your best to get the entire structure to fit into one portrait photo.
Tick an activity off your bucket list. Take a helicopter flight, embark on a desert safari, take in Dubai from above on a hot air balloon ride, enjoy a tandem sky dive, or get up close and personal with the penguins at Ski Dubai. For a completely relaxing experience, on the other hand, why not visit one of the luxurious spas for an indulgent afternoon of pampering?
After an exhilarating, cute, or relaxing, few hours head for lunch at one Dubai’s luxury hotels, or if it’s a Friday or Saturday, then we would highly recommend brunch. When it comes to brunch, Dubai has elevated the concept and it’s an unmissable tradition. Friday brunches, especially are often lavish, hour’s long events with tantalising spreads. Brunches can be found all over Dubai at Nikki Beach, Grosvenor House, the Armani Hotel and Burj Al-Arab to name a few.
After several hours spent wining and dining take an Uber, or take the metro to the Dubai Marina. Dubai Marina is known for The Beach at Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) and the upscale yachts which cruise through the large man-made marina. Stroll down the famous JBR Walk then make your way to Zero Gravity Beach Club. Popular with influencers and celebrities such as Justin Bieber, Zero Gravity Beach Club is a day and night oasis, perfect for an evening drink.
For dinner, we highly recommend Rüya Dubai located in Grosvenor House. Rüya means ‘dream’ in Turkish, and from the minute you enter the stylish restaurant you’ll be transported into a unique enchanting world. The entire menu is playful and inventive embodying the spirit of traditional Anatolian cuisine with hints of European and Japanese influences. The sharing concept further adds to the uniqueness of the restaurant and adds to the laidback relaxed feel of Rüya. Expect impressive views out over the Marina waters, beautiful food, and terrific service.
